Field Mechanical Fast Connector SC

Optical fiber fast connector is a kind of connector which can solve the problem of ultra long distance wiring and fiber to the home project. It is widely used in the construction site of quick connection link, and provides a fast and stable connection during fiber optic construction. There is no need for glue curing and grinding in the field assembly, which provides a very fast and effective help for engineers on installation, maintenance and repair of fiber to the home project.

SC Fast Connector Features

• Each ferrule has been tested within 0.5dB of insertion loss, reach TELECOM standard;
• Adopt Three Circle A-class ceramic ferrule, improves product stability, low loss and small change;

• It has strong practicability and can be reused for more than 15 times;

• Humanized structure design: preset limit point of drop cable at the boot, and automatically generate a small micro bend according to the correct cutting length of the product (see below figure). The micro bend indicates that the optical fiber has been in good contact with the embedded optical fiber, and the micro bend must exist, but not too large, otherwise the loss during the period will be affected.
• There is axial clamping force at the optical fiber joint. When the optical fiber is butted, the gap between the two optical fiber sections is almost zero, so the connection loss is less than 0.3dB。
• Telecom standard mechanical connectors adopt brand newhigh-performance PEI material, it has good high temperature stability, high toughness and strength, good flame retardant performance, mechanical performance and wear resistance, durable and stable performance.

Product Details

There are 2 types of connectors, SC/UPC fast connector, SC/APC fast connector, the ferrule and connector housing are different, to connect with different adapters and connectors.

We have 2 types of length for this design SC fast connectors, one is shorter at 55mm, the other is 60mm. The length is from the top ferrule till the end  of the connector.

Different length can be suitable for different roseta optica or terminal boxes, due to there maybe limited space for some ftth box. Except the length difference which can be seen by human eyes, the internal design is different, 60mm fast connectos is to bring the drop cable horizontally, the 55mm fast connector is vertically laying.

For all fast connectors, we support custom package if you need, and for this connector, standard is 10pcs in a blister box, then 100pcs in a inner box, and 1000pcs in a carton box for delivery.

The length fix tool and user manual will be configure with the inner box.

How do you use fast connectors?

1. Take out the boot,put it into the drop cable;
2. Remove 5cm jacket of the drop cable with cable stripper;
3. Peel off the coating outside the length fixer with Miller’s pliers;
4. Add industrial alcohol with dust-free paper and wipe the core;
5. Cutting flat fiber core with high precision fiber cleaver;
6. The fiber goes through the boot of the connector till fiber bend a little;
7. Clamp the optical fiber with the boot and screw on;
8. Move up the switch to the top, lock and clamp the bare fiber;
9. Put on the green house, finish assembly.
