There are two main ways to lay cables along the wall: nailed and suspended (hanging). The suspension type uses steel strands (commonly used 7/2.2 steel strands) to attach optical cables, while the iron accessories are used for installing and fixing steel strands on the wall.
There are four main types of iron accessories for hanging wall optical cables, namely: eye pulls, U-shaped pulls, L-shaped brackets and protruding brackets
Eye pull and U-shaped pulls
Eye pull tabs and U-shaped pull tabs are used to fix the suspension wire to the wall at the end. When the hanging wire is parallel to the wall, generally use the eye pulls.
When the hanging wire is perpendicular to the wall, U-shaped pull-ups are generally used.
The hanging wire is fixed on the eye pull handle or U-shaped pull handle with a U-shaped steel wire clamp or a three-eye double-slot splint.
Note that the bends of the steel strands should be protected by wire backing rings.
L-shaped brackets and protruding brackets
L-shaped brackets and protruding brackets are used to fix the hanging wire in the middle part of a section of wall hanging wire. The distance between the brackets and between the brackets and the pull tab is generally not more than 10 meters.
When the hanging wire is placed on a flat wall, it is generally fixed with an L-shaped bracket.
When there are protrusions such as rainwater pipes on the wall, in order to avoid the protrusions from blocking the hanging wires, protruding brackets are used to allow the hanging wires to span over the protrusions:
Sets of iron accessories usually come with expansion bolts, and the iron accessories are fixed to the wall with matching expansion bolts. When there are no matching expansion bolts, the iron accessories can also be fixed with ordinary expansion bolts. M12X100 expansion bolts are used for suspension wire 7/2.2, and M10X80 expansion bolts are used for suspension lines below 7/2.2.
