Detailed Display
It is a 1×2 PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitter with mini Plc Splitter Module. Its splitting principle is based on the planar lightwave circuit technology, ensuring stable and accurate optical power distribution.
Equipped with LC connectors. The green LC connectors shown in following picture are designed for easy and secure connection to LC compatible fiber optic adapters or patch panels. LC connectors are known for their small form factor, which helps save space in fiber optic distribution frames and equipment racks. They also provide good insertion loss and return loss performance, ensuring reliable optical signal transmission.
Moreover, there is a white foam insert. The foam has pre-cut slots and spaces to securely hold the fiber optic splitter components. The LC connectors are placed in the dedicated foam slots, which can fix the connectors in position, avoiding movement and potential damage during handling. The main body of the splitter and the optical fibers are also properly placed in the foam-lined space, ensuring that the delicate optical fibers and the splitter core are protected from bending, twisting, or other forms of mechanical stress that could affect their performance.
It has multiple optical fibers with different colors, including blue, yellow, and white. These fibers are single-mode or multi-mode fibers (usually single-mode for such splitters in long-distance communication applications), and the color-coding helps in identifying and managing different fiber connections during installation and maintenance.
The splitter module has a certain size , and the fibers extend from it. The connectors also have specific dimensions, with the connector at the input side having a width of 7mm and a height-related dimension of 4mm as shown, facilitating proper integration into fiber optic cabling systems.
