1×2 40 60 Fiber Coupler Details
1×2 Passive optical coupler is created by removing the coating from two optical fibers and bringing them close together. Under high-temperature melting conditions, axial stretching forms a tapered coupling region. By controlling the stretching speed and twist angle, 100% of the optical fiber coupling into two fibers with spliting ratio 40%:60%. We will put on 40% and 60% number ring mark on the fiber pigtails for identification.
The input end of the tapered fiber splitter has one optical fiber, and an “IN” identification ring is installed at the connector end. Unless otherwise specified by the customer, our company defaults to put on a white loose tube. But other colors are also available, such as yellow, blue, and red. Since the cable length is typically 1 meter or 1.5 meters, it is usually coiled into a loop and secured with a spiral sleeve.
The standard packaging of passive optical coupler is a blister pack, and each fiber coupler comes with a corresponding English test report. From the test report, we can learn the specific details and test parameters like insertion loss, PDL, steel tube size, operating temeperature, storage temperature, operating wavelength, fiber type, manufacturer date, connector type, fiber length, etc
