The core component of each fiber optic cable adapter is a high-precision ceramic sleeve (2.5mm or 1.25mm), ensuring precise alignment of the fiber ends. For example, the SC adapter uses an internal 2.5mm ceramic sleeve to precisely mate with the ceramic ferrules of the connectors on both ends.

Square plastic housing with 2.5mm ceramic sleeve, pluggable design, commonly used in routers and switches.

Adapter LC LC
Small square connector with a 1.25mm ceramic sleeve, suitable for high-density cabling (such as SFP optical modules)

FC Fiber Adapter
Round metal threaded fastening with 2.5mm ceramic sleeve, highly shockproof, commonly used in telecommunications rooms and ODF optical fiber distribution frames

MTP Adapter
Multi-core high-density connector with MT ferrule, MPO adapter or MTP adapter, suitable for high-speed transmission in data centers.

SMA f to SMA f Adapter
Round metal housing, fixed by thread locking or clip-on structure, high mechanical strength and strong anti-interference performance, suitable for harsh environments such as military industry and medical equipment.

Adapter ST
Round bayonet type with 2.5mm ceramic sleeve, requires rotation to lock, commonly found in fiber optic distribution frames.

MTJR Adapter
Dual-fiber integrated square interface, saving equipment space. The push-pull buckle structure significantly improving termination efficiency, suitable for FTTD, Gigabit Ethernet and data centers

MU Adapter Fiber
Miniaturized fiber device, half the size of SC, push-pull snap-fit structure improving installation efficiency for ftth, metropolitan area networks, data centers, and precision instrument interconnection.

DIN Adapter
The metal shell ensures mechanical stability through the threaded locking structure and the unique spring mechanism. It is the mainstream choice in the European market for long-distance stable transmission in harsh environments (such as factory automation and military equipment).

D4 Adapter
The housing is made of metal, locked by thread, has excellent vibration resistance, and a unique spring mechanism. It is mainly used in Japanese and Asian industrial fields such as cable TV and telecommunications networks, military and subway systems.

Hybrid Adapter
Both sides different interface: mtp to lc adapter, sc female to lc male adapter, fc apc to sc apc adapter, sc to st adapter, st to lc fiber adapter, sc to fc adapter,st to fc adapter, st to sma fiber adapter, lc to fc adapter,mtrj to lc adapter, etc,resolve interface compatibility issues.
Classification by Housing Material
- Metal Housing: Mainly used with FC and ST adapters, offering strong anti-interference performance.
- Non-Metal Housing: Commonly used with SC and LC adapters, offering a lightweight design.

UPC and APC are different polishing method of fiber end face. UPC is mainly for Ethernet equipment, while APC is for highly sensitive CATV or PON networks.
