ST Fixed Optical Attenuator Details
Since the signal attenuation in optical fibers is invisible to the naked eye, our company will use labels or laser etching to mark the attenuation value in a conspicuous location for easy identification by the customer. To distinguish between single-mode and multi-mode fibers, different colored plastic dust caps can be used, such as yellow for single-mode and red for multi-mode. When not in use, please put on the dust caps as soon as possible to prevent dust from entering and contaminating the fiber.
Fixed optical attenuators have female connectors on both ends, which connect to fiber optic connectors and can be used in laboratory or field debugging for calibrating optical power and testing equipment performance or attenuation in optical fiber communication. Alternatively, they can be used to adjust the intensity of the optical signal received by the sensor, improving measurement accuracy.
