Description
The drop cable tension clamp consist of shell and wedge equipped with tail hook. The separated shell provided to increase force to tighten the drop cable wire.

How to install the cable into the clamp?
- Place the neutral messenger cable in shell of the clamp body.
- Then, put the shim on top of cable with raised embossing against cable.
- Once located, insert wedge in shell (on top of shim) and slide to engage. Small end of wedge should be initially engaged in track of large end of shell.
- Place bail wire on “B” drop wire hook (ram’s horn) with wedge loose. Pull drop wire through clamp until proper sidewalk / alley clearance is achieved.
- Hold clamp and pull tightly to make sure that the cable does not slide from the clamp.
