SMA VOA Optical Attenuator Details
In the receiving front end of radar or communication systems, strong signals can damage sensitive components (such as low-noise amplifiers). SMA attenuator variable prevent equipment overload by controllably attenuating the received signal strength, with an adjustable range from 0dB, 1dB, 2dB to 30dB. They can also improve the system’s Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) by adjusting the attenuation level, reducing reflected signals and improving signal transmission efficiency.
The SMA fiber optic variable attenuator has a male connector on one end and a female connector on the other. It can serve as a core component in test equipment such as microwave power meters and noise analyzers, providing a precise attenuation reference for establishing power standards, noise figure measurements, and system calibration. Additionally, in communication base stations, SMA voa optical attenuators can balance power differences across multiple channels, ensuring channel consistency.
The mechnical variable fiber attenuators provided by Yingda are made of attenuated fibers doped with metal ions, which can adjust the optical power to the required standard. The flange implementation method provides multiple joint connectors FC-FC, FC-SC, FC-ST, SC-SC for customers to choose from, easy installation, and simple structure.
