Attenuator SC Details
A fiber optic attenuator SC is a passive device used to reduce the intensity of an optical signal without significantly altering the transmission wavelength.
This type of device is used in transmission links such as dense wavelength division multiplexers (DWDM) and erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA) with high optical power, because the transceivers cannot receive excessively high optical power and therefore require attenuation.
