Details of FTTP Splitter 1×32
The splitter 1×32 is housed in a robust, rectangularmetal enclosure. This enclosure protects internal components from physical damage, dust, and minor environmental factors—key for FTTP deployments. It has mounting points (e.g., side screws) for secure installation.
Inside the enclosure, multiple white fiber optic pigtails are visible. These pigtails connect the core splitting component (PLC chip) to the output ports. They use single-mode fiber (e.g., G.657A or G.652D), optimized for long-distance, high-bandwidth FTTP networks.
At the heart of the splitter is a Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) chip (the small, flat, light-colored component highlighted in the zoomed-in circle). This chip splits 1 input signal into 32 outputs using micro-optical waveguides. PLC technology ensures low insertion loss, high uniformity, and wavelength independence—critical for reliable FTTP signal distribution.
