Structure of Outdoor Fiber Splitter 1×32
The oututdoor fiber splitter 1×32 is housed in an ABS plastic box. ABS plastic is chosen for its excellent mechanical properties, including impact resistance and durability. This makes it suitable for outdoor applications, as it can withstand environmental factors like minor impacts, temperature variations, and some degree of moisture and dust ingress.
The Korea PLC chip is the heart of the 1×32 fiber splitter. It is responsible for splitting one input optical signal into 32 output optical signals.
There are 32 output adapters and 1 input adapter (the green one, which may be the input for the splitter). The adapters are arranged in an orderly manner, which simplifies the process of connecting fibers during installation and maintenance. The color-coding (blue for outputs, green for input) helps in quickly identifying the input and output ports, reducing the chance of misconnection.
By the way, the optical fibers used are G657A fibers. G657A is a type of bend-insensitive single-mode fiber. This is particularly important for outdoor and FTTH applications where fibers may be subjected to bending during installation (e.g., in tight spaces within distribution boxes or when routed around corners in buildings).
