The drop cable tension clamp consist of shell, shim and wedge equipped with tail wire.The separated shim is provided to increase holding the drop cable wire faster. The knots are 2 knots, 3 knots or 4knots available.

How to install the cable into the clamp?
- Place the neutral messenger cable in shell of the clamp body.
- Then, put the shim on top of cable with raised embossing against cable.
- Once located, insert wedge in shell (on top of shim) and slide to engage. Small end of wedge should be initially engaged in track of large end of shell.
- Place bail wire on “B” drop wire hook (ram’s horn) with wedge loose. Pull drop wire through clamp until proper sidewalk / alley clearance is achieved.
- Hold clamp and pull tightly to make sure that the cable does not slide from the clamp.
