FTTH Drop Cable Protection Box Details
This FTTH box are otudoor use with rubber seals around the box, which ensure IP65 protection grade, so it can be used outdoor termination, splicing and distribution. There is laser mark on top cover, and hinge to connect the lid and body, dont worry lid disappear. It is very small size, light weight with high impact plastic materials. The cable ports at both sides.
Yingda plastic injection can be different colors, the most popular are white and black color as below. The same structure, but different color only.
This mini drop cable protection box is widely used indoor outdoor fiber access networks, it can be mounted on wall or handing or desktop. The internal have 3 different designs as below, which corresponds to three different fiber optic connection methods:
- Type A: 1 x mechanical splice for bare fibers 250um
- Type B: 1x heat shrinkable protection tube for splicing fibers
- Type C: 1x SC adapter for direct connection
Type A: Protection box with adapter (active connection)
This box hold 1 pc SC UPC APC adapter, simplex with flange, we can install 2pcs pigtails from each side of cable port to direct connection. No need splicing ,fast and easy to operate.
Type B: Protection box with sleeve (hot connection)
This box hold 1pc sleeve holder in the middle, suggest to use single fiber splicing sleeve 40mm, 45mm, or 60mm, bring the fibers from both sides of the cable ports, then fix the fusion joint in the sleeve holder for protection.
Type C: Protection box with mechanical splice （cold connection / mechanical connection）
This box hold 1pc mechanical splice holder in the middle, suggest to use bare fiber or flat drop cable mechanical splicer, bring the fibers from both sides of the cable ports, and insert into the mechanical splicer to finish connection, no need fusion. Fast to connect.
