Detailed Display of Fibre Distribution Terminal
The terminal features a hinged, lockable enclosure (visible in the open-state images) that provides secure access to the internal components. The internal space is equipped with structures to hold optical splitters, splice trays, and fibre organisers. These components help in the splitting of incoming fibres into multiple outgoing fibres and the splicing (joining) of fibres with minimal signal loss.
Besides, there is a label or document inside the lid, which can be used for recording fibre connections, network mapping, or product specifications, aiding in network maintenance and troubleshooting.

There are various clips, holders, and routing paths inside to manage fibre optic cables, ensuring they are neatly arranged and protected from bending or tension, which could degrade signal quality. Metal terminals and connectors are present for grounding purposes, ensuring electrical safety, and for securing fibre optic connectors.
These terminals come in different capacities, accommodating various numbers of fibre ports (e.g., 8, 16, 32 ports, etc.) to serve multiple end-users in fibre-to-the-home (FTTH), fibre-to-the-building (FTTB), or other fibre optic network deployments. They act as a central point for distributing optical signals from the main network to individual subscribers or endpoints.

The exterior has mounting provisions, including screw holes and a top bracket, allowing for wall or pole installation. Multiple cable glands at the bottom facilitate the entry and exit of fibre optic cables, ensuring a sealed and organised cable management.
