Detailed Display of Optical Termination Box OTB
This box has a robust black plastic enclosure that provides excellent protection against environmental factors like dust, moisture, and physical impacts. The enclosure is designed with a structured shape, featuring ventilation-like grooves and a secure locking mechanism to ensure sealing when closed.
The prominent white, circular component is a fiber splice tray. It provides a protected space for splicing (joining) optical fibers. Multiple layers of such trays can be seen, allowing for the management of numerous fiber splices. A black and red hook-and-loop fastener (Velcro) is used to secure the fibers neatly around the tray, preventing tangling and ensuring proper fiber management.
The green components are fiber optic SC adapters. These adapters enable the connection of patch cords to the pigtails (pre-terminated fibers) inside the box. The green color typically indicates adapters for single-mode optical fibers, like 2*3mm ftth drop cable and 2*5mm figure 8 ftth drop cable, which are widely used in long-distance and high-bandwidth applications. 1x 1*16 (PLC) or 2x (1*8 (PLC) could be placed here.
The latches on both sides of the box are used for securing the box enclosure. They ensure the box stays tightly closed, protecting the internal fiber optic components (like splices and adapters) from dust, moisture, physical damage, and unauthorized access. This helps maintain the integrity and performance of the fiber optic connections within.
At the bottom of the box, there are multiple black cable glands. These glands allow fiber optic cables to enter and exit the box securely. They come in different sizes to accommodate cables of various diameters and ensure a watertight and dustproof seal.
