These optical fiber are typically made of high-quality silica glass, ensuring low optical loss during signal transmission. The fibers come with protective jackets to withstand mechanical stress and environmental factors.

The splitting chip (PLC chip) is at the core. It utilizes planar lightwave circuit technology to precisely split the incoming optical signal into nine output signals with a power distribution of approximately 70% to one output and 30% shared among the remaining eight outputs. This chip is engineered for high splitting accuracy and stability.

These SC connectors have a push-pull latching mechanism, enabling easy and secure connections. The green color of the connectors is a standard identifier for specific fiber types or connector genders, ensuring compatibility with other SC-compatible fiber optic equipment. The ferrules within the SC connectors are precision-polished to minimize insertion loss and back reflection, guaranteeing efficient optical signal transfer.
