Detailed Display of Fiber Outdoor Box
The outer casing of this box is made of durable black plastic, built to withstand outdoor environmental factors like rain, dust, and temperature variations.
It is secured with metal screws, which might be used for main fiber entries or specialized connections. The arrangement ensures efficient management of incoming and outgoing fibers, facilitating easy installation and maintenance while protecting the connections from outdoor elements.
The internal layout is highly organized, with dedicated spaces for splices, splitters, and cable management, ensuring ease of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Upon opening the enclosure, there is a fiber management tray (the white circular component). This tray is used to store and manage fiber optic cables, providing a space for fiber splicing and routing. It has grooved sections to neatly arrange fiber cables and prevent them from being bent beyond their minimum bend radius, which could damage the fibers. There are fiber optic adapters (the green components) that serve as connection points for fiber optic patch cords, enabling the coupling of different fiber segments.
A fiber optic splitter (visible in the close-up of the management tray, labeled “Splitter”, 1×16 or 3pc 1×8 steel tube could be used for this distribution box) is integrated, which is a key component for splitting an incoming optical signal into multiple outgoing signals, facilitating passive optical network (PON) architectures.
